How to Reach a Boat-Access Beach
Scott Beach sits midway along the Caneel Bay peninsula, and you cannot drive or walk to it. Access is by boat, kayak or a swim from a neighbouring bay, which is exactly why it stays empty. There are no facilities of any kind, so bring everything you need with you.

Cruz Bay is where the kayak and boat trips leave from, so staying in town puts you closest to the only ways of reaching Scott Beach. Marketplace Suites is a boutique hotel in the heart of Cruz Bay, with a kitchenette in every suite and a grocery store on the ground floor, so packing a cooler for the beach takes five minutes.
