Beware????? Bloody sheets!!!
During my stay I brought to the attention of the host that there was blood (yes; yuck) in the sheets. The host rather than addressing this tried to blame this on me and my family. This is absolutely disgusting and I’m appalled that these dishonest people did not attempt to address this with me directly but had the audacity to ask me to pay $100 for cleaning. What.
The place felt safe. It had good windows and was walking distance from the ferry area at ST John. It is located above the market. There is a great bookstore that has some pretty good coffee. The surfaces were clean and overall the apartment was nice.
The sad part is that instead of this host trying to address this situation honorably they chose to try and blame me for making this mess. I am more disappointed that such a traumatic experience for a customer was not handled with more intentionality.
I hate to post a bad review and I wish the host would have just resolved this with me. I initially did not ask for anything from them also. I made no money requests, even though I was wronged and my health put a risk from sleeping in someone else’s blood.
I have since filed a complaint with Airbnb!!! Check the linens if you take the risk of staying here and I’d recommend just checking out if there are any issues because they will probably blame you before taking accountability!!!
